Fondant is a versatile sugar mass with several areas of use in bakery and confectionery. It is often used as a cover or decoration for pastries, such as donuts and other pastries. Fondant is also often used as a base for confectionery fillings. In these cases you add ingredients such as cocoa powder, chopped nuts, coconut flakes or other seasonings.  It is also possible to add any color to give the fondant your desired shade.​
