Founded in 1993, Göteborgs Food Budapest is today recognised as one of the leading producers of industrial compound coatings, chocolates, and fat-based fillings and spreads in Europe. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, quality, and tailored solutions, we have positioned ourselves as a dynamic producer and supplier, catering to both large-scale and smaller volumes.

The foundation of Göteborgs Food Budapest dates back to 1982 when food engineer Sandor Turos – originally from Hungary but immigrated to Sweden – founded AB Göteborgs Food in Gothenburg, Sweden. In the early 90's, Turos recognized a promising opportunity to extend operations into Hungary. In companionship with dairy engineer Jenö Csonka, Göteborgs Food Budapest Zrt was founded in 1993 and within a few years, all production activities were centralised to the Budapest factory.


Today, Göteborgs Food Budapest remains under ownership and management of the founders’ sons, Anders Turos and Attila Csonka. Through our dedication and expertise, we have grown into a significant player in the industry, with a team of 100 dedicated employees, a wide product range and over 50 export markets. We’ve retained our tight-knit, family company mentality, continuing to provide the personalized attention and agility that our customers have come to expect. Our journey continues, still firmly rooted in our family values.
